Alex Brown has been coaching and working with students for a large number of years and plays tennis on various leagues in Atlanta. Brown believes tennis is a great, life-long sport that teaches a variety of lessons physically, mentally, and spiritually. Mercy's tennis team works day in and day out to improve and grow individually as well as in the community because we can grow in our own abilities and challenge each other to grow. We practice the fundamental skills and the higher level strategies of our sport to achieve our level of performance. We do have students who come out without any experience and develop into great players, as well as players with years of playing who lead our team at the highest levels. We also focus on sportsmanship, honor and integrity in how we carry ourselves both on and off the court. Mercy's tennis team has advanced to further rounds in our Region tournaments. Coach Brown lead both the Mercy Gentlemen and Ladies’ teams to the first round of state competition in the 2021 season against his own Alma Mater and high school coach. We aim to continue to grow and be successful in the upcoming season.
