Andrew McGovern has been coaching baseball and softball at Mercy for five years and he strives to instill in his athletes a love and respect for the game. He models the right way to play the game as well as determination despite the outcome. Most importantly however, when athletes graduate from Mercy, his goal is to make sure he has "done everything I can to make sure they are a person after the heart of God. This is far more important than any championship." He has had the honor of coaching many players who have gone on to play college ball. Over the last three years the softball program has had its best seasons going a combined 22-10. In addition to his responsibilities at Mercy he is married with 5 children.
