WEST POINT, N.Y. - Two days after lengthening the Academy pole vault record, Army track and field senior Kaci Clark was named Army Athletic Association Athlete of the Week and Patriot League Female Field Athlete of the Week. It marks her first career AAA citation and second career indoor PL award, after being recognized on Jan. 31, 2011.

Competing at The Armory on Saturday night, Clark won the pole vault title with a height of 3.80 meters. The Patriot League-best mark extended the Academy pole vault record by .10 meters, which Clark previously set at the The Armory on Jan. 29 of this season.  The Fayetteville, Ga., native also owns the outdoor record as well (3.70 meters), which she set on April 25, 2010.

The senior is one of two Black Knights to qualify for the ECAC Championships in 2011, alongside sophomore McKenzie Majchrzak who met the standard in the high jump.

Clark will be in search of her first Patriot League pole vault title this weekend when the Army indoor track and field teams travel to Annapolis, Md., for the 2011 Patriot League Indoor Track and Field Championships. The men's heptathlon and women's pentathlon will begin Friday, Feb. 18 at noon, with field and running events beginning Saturday, Feb. 19 at 10:30 a.m., and continuing through Sunday, Feb. 20.
