Baseball Handed Tough Road Loss
March 6th, 2012
Austin Loper gave up only two earned runs in 6 innings of work for the Bobcats baseball team, but Landmark took advantage of some defensive miscues to win by a final score of 8-3. John Keuler led the offense with two hits, including a triple, and Loper was 1 for 3 with single in the first inning. Loper came around to score to give the Bobcats an early 1-0 lead.
Mercy would add another run in the 5th inning when John Keuler scored on Chris Wesley's sacrifice fly to right field. Keegan Jordan added an RBI single to score Thomas Smilie after his single in the 6th inning to close out the scoring for the Bobcats. The Bobcats travel to Macon Friday for another region contest and then return home on Tuesday for date with Paideia.
