Athletics

...whatever you do, do everything for the glory of God.
1 Corinthians 10

Our athletic program plays a key role in supporting the academic mission of Our Lady of Mercy, developing students into honest, committed, respectable leaders, both on and off the field. Mercy’s athletic department teaches the value of hard work, good-sportsmanship, and integrity, while maintaining a Christ-centered, safe environment. We want Mercy student-athletes to grow in their academic and spiritual life, becoming positive, role models in all of their future endeavors.  Moreover, Mercy’s teams are competitive and inclusive. Mercy is a GHSA single-A Private School, boasting numerous state/region championships.

Goals: The Our Lady of Mercy Catholic High School Athletic Department provides opportunities for our student-athletes to participate in sports. The lessons to be learned from participation in athletics are vast and play a major role in the development of our students. Mercy Athletics are driven by the values of sportsmanship, work ethic, and commitment.

Philosophy: The Mercy Athletic Department philosophy is that each student-athlete should be provided with as much opportunity to participate and succeed in sports as possible. Our belief is that life lessons and values such as discipline, teamwork, commitment, and hard work can be learned through athletics.
