Mercy Track has strong showing at Region

The Mercy Track and Field Team turned in a solid performance at the Region Championships on Thursday, April 19th. The boys team placed 4th overall, while the girls team finished an impressive second in the Region. There were many outstanding performances by Mercy athletes:

Leah Banks, Chyna Terrell, Colleen Kelly and Morgan McClure are REGION CHAMPS in the 4x400.

Chyna Terrell, Morgan McClure, Deja Barthell, and Leah Banks finished third in the 4x100.

Colleen Kelly is REGION CHAMP in the 300 meter hurdles, and qualified for the State Sectionals in the 100 Hurldes.

Margaret Tafanji is REGION RUNNER-UP in the Discus.

Leah Banks qualified for the State Sectionals in the 200, 400, Long Jump and both relays.

Morgan McClure qualified for State Sectionals in the 400, 800, and both relays.

Jordan Sartor is REGION CHAMP in the 100 and 200, and part of the 4x100.

Chauncey Laboo is REGION CHAMP in the Shot Put and part of the 4x100.

Jordan Thomas qualified for State Sectionals in the Discus and 4x100 relay.

Delfayeo Matthews qualified for State Sectionals in the 400 and 4x100 relay.

Our team competes again on April 28th at Landmark for the State Sectionals.
