Meet the Faculty

Franck Launay-Fallasse (M.A. University of Paris La Sorbonne, M.A. Instititue of Christian Philosophy) studied philosophy and theology in Paris, France, and has been part of the Mercy faculty since 2002, also the year of his marriage and of his arrival to the United States. He teaches Theology to juniors and seniors, and he is currently the Chairperson of the Theology Department. He directs the AMA Choir that contributes to the musical liturgy of the school in the spirit of the community of Taizé.  

Andrew McGovern (B.A. Ave Maria University, M.T.S. Holy Spirit College) joined the faculty in 2016, and will be teaching Freshman and Junior Theology. He studied with the Dominican Order at the Dominican House of Studies in the Pontifical Degree Program. He specializes in the Theology of St. Thomas Aquinas. He coaches baseball and softball, and loves both the Atlanta Braves and the traditional Latin Mass. He attends both Holy Spirit Parish and St. Francis de Sales Parish.

Megan Vilardi (B.S., Ave Maria University) joined the faculty in 2016, and will be teaching Sophomore and Junior Theology. She will also serve as the Head Swimming Coach and is a member of the Campus Ministry team. After moving to Georgia in 2014, she settled in Fayetteville as the youth minister at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Peachtree City, GA. She is an avid crafter, a fan of British television shows, and has a love for all things old or Latin. Ms. Vilardi will be getting married and changing her name to Mrs. Trocquet this year and enjoys visiting the aquarium in her spare time.


Br. Colton Rodgers O.F.M. Conv. (B.S., Oglethorpe University) joined the faculty in 2017, and will serve as the acting Chaplain of Our Lady of Mercy. In addition to serving as the Chaplain, Br. Colton will also be teaching Theology Seminar to incoming freshman students. Br. Colton was born and raised in Buffalo, New York, and entered the Order of Friars Minor Conventual in the summer of 2010. Apart from studying at Oglethorpe University in Brookhaven, Br. Colton had previously studied at The Catholic University of America. Prior to his assignment to Our Lady of Mercy, Br. Colton had ministered in several states, (Indiana, New York, Maryland, and the District of Columbia) and even briefly in the United Kingdom. Br. Colton is a die-hard fan of the "Ole Miss Rebels" and is extremely passionate about psychology.
