Head Athletic Trainer: April Clark, ATC
Ms. April S. Clark is OLM's new Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC). Ms. Clark earned her Bachelor’s from Georgia State University in Exercise Science in 2009 while having the opportunity to work as an intern with the Georgia State Panthers’ Football Team in 2009. Ms. Clark is also a 2012 graduate of The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga receiving her Master’s of Science from UTC in Athletic Training. During her time at UTC she was able to gain experience working with UTC Athletics in addition to surrounding high schools in the Chattanooga, TN and North Georgia area. such as Baylor, Ooletewah and Lakeview Fort Oglethorpe. She has also had the opportunity to gain experience at youth basketball camps for UTC, an orthopedic clinic in Rome, GA, special events at UTC (Southern Conference Basketball Tournament, Southern Conference Wrestling Tournament, Frost Softball Classic), and an exposure basketball camp in Atlanta, GA which allowed athletes to showcase their talent in order to become professional athletes overseas. Although Ms. Clark is very much into the field of Sports Medicine, she notes one of her hobbies in the field of photography.
Ms. Clark currently resides in Atlanta, GA and is committed to enhancing the health and well-being of the student-athletes at OLM. As a childhood cancer (leukemia) survivor, she without a doubt credits her strong faith and support of her family as well as friends for her continued success in all that she has accomplished.
