Students serve Our Lady of Perpetual Help Home

December 5th, 2011

Nine current OLM students went to Our Lady of Perpetual Help Cancer Home last week to prepare the home for the Christmas holidays.  Mrs. DeMello and her daughter - OLM alumni Lani DeMello '05 - volunteered as well.

Located near Turner Field,  the Our Lady of Perpetual Help Home is staffed by the Hawthorne Dominican Sisters, and is dedicated to the care of terminal cancer patients. The home is open to those who cannot afford to pay for care, and does not discriminate based on race, creed or origin.

The students decorated numerous Christmas trees, hallways, and patient rooms.  It was a great way to serve those in need and celebrate the true meaning of charity during the Advent season.
