Tough Loss for Bobcats vs. Temple

August 30th, 2011

The Bobcats were confronted by a stiff obstacle Friday night in the Division 2A Temple Tigers.  Despite falling behind early due to turnovers, the Bobcats were able to regroup at halftime and claw their way back by the midway point in the fourth quarter.  Multiple injuries in the backfield and defensive secondary, however, forced the Bobcats to turn to their younger players in crunch time.  Combined with a special teams miscue and a failed two point conversion, the Bobcats missed their opportunity to tie the game with four minutes remaining and Temple was able to run out the clock on the ensuing possession.

In spite of the 33-35 loss, the Bobcats varsity football team showed vast improvement over last year's finale, and are looking to regroup and come out strong this Friday night, September 2nd, against Glascock County.  Kickoff is at 7:30 PM at OLM.
