Bobcat Baseball Wins 3rd Straight

March 26th, 2012

The Mercy baseball team travelled to Columbus on a beautiful Saturday afternoon to play a Catholic adversary, Pacelli, in a non-region contest. Behind solid pitching from Senior Will Dunphy and great “team” defense, the Bobcats pulled out a decisive 6-2 victory. Freshman Keegan Jordan was a defensive standout in right field along with catcher Chris Wesley.

John Keuler led all hitters going 3 for 3 with an RBI and 2 runs scored. Christian Griffith was 1 for 4 with 3 RBI’s and Kip Darden was 2 and 4 on the day. Justin Larkin drew 2 walks and scored both times to do his part offensively. The Bobcats travel to ELCA Tuesday for region contest. First pitch is 5:55.
